Wow. I subbed a 3:1 ratio of Pull-ups and dips in lieu of Muscle-ups. That sucked. I was thinking I would do this around 30 min. Nah. Not a chance.

Um, how did I do this sub-40 in May??? No fuckin clue. Granted, this was at a different gym, many globo-gymers were around, and I had a few shots of Jameson last noc before the rack. I'm ashamed. The only good thing was I got off a few kips that were good. Maybe it's been the bodybuilding?? I think it's time to get back to functional fitness. Or, at least a more Crossfit focused workout.

"Fight Gone Bad!"
Three rounds of:
Wall-ball, 20 pound ball, 10 ft target (Reps)
Sumo deadlift high-pull, 75 pounds (Reps)
Box Jump, 20" box (Reps)
Push-press, 75 pounds (Reps)
Row (Calories)
In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute.The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. On call of "rotate", the athletes must move to next station immediately for best score. One point is given for each rep, except on the rower where each calorie is one point.

Rows were subbed with bent-over barbell rows.
WHAT??? FGB again?? Yes. My sweety came to the gym with me and did FGB for the first time in her life. Of course we decreased the weight and used a smaller box, but she did well once she quickly mastered the lifts. I have met the woman of my dreams, no I'm not kidding. There was no complaining, no quitting, no stopping to rest. I didn't hear, "Crossfit is too hard." The hottest thing in the world is to watch a beautiful woman bust out FGB. I found the one. I'm in love.

Looking back I could have tried harder. It did lay my ass out. As I lay there panting some geriatric bodybuilders stood there waiting patiently for me to get off the squat rack. (I went to the Newburgh location since I am on vacation this week.) They actually look very fit for their age. But their isolationist movements showed their fitness levels. No disrespect intended for anyone at that age that looks fairly in shape and still makes it to the gym for hours on end. I just don't understand why they would look so fit but still have to do assisted pull-ups. Bodybuilding is purely cosmetic, and that shows by the tight gear people wear when they do it along with the lack of real fitness. There's just not enough strength.
So I didn't give up the squat rack-they were just gonna use it to do "shrugs" and did another WOD:
Back Squat

Not my best, but not my worst and I tweaked my back.

I decided not to bodybuild. I don't really care for it, but will continue to do it after a little break. One fella approached me after my workout and asked, "Are you the Crossfit guy?" Well yes, yes I am. He's like, "You guys are some of the fittest guys in the gym!" I'll take that.
So I told him how to get into it. And maybe I will get some time to show him a few lifts. No need to not spread the word.

This is after being sick for the last 5 days. I almost puked. In fact, I think I might have left some lung pieces on the ground from heaving so badly. Bout half a round worse than last time. Form was good though. Probably better than last.
I just got my new Againfaster.com custom portable pull-up bar, which I intend to install in my basement for continuation of the 100 pull-up challenge. It's really cool.

Just couldn't get the 205 out of the hole. I thought this would be easy, but I have been wailing on my upper body so much lately. Thrusters are my bane, but perhaps one of the best lifts to do for sheer strength. It's still candy to get more than my body weight over my head from a full squat.

All I need is a f@$%ing place to do pull-ups and a few minutes on a sit-up bench. But some knucklehead decides to get on my GHD situp bench and do what??? Crunches. Give me a break. Let's all train our abs half-assed now. I need a Crossfit gym...
